Corona actually refers to a group of viruses, covering a common cold to what we’re dealing with now. The specific strain that’s wreaking such havoc today is COVID19. People under the age of sixty with no other health complications are likely to just get a bad flue for two weeks, but for elderly or sick (especially heart/lung disease or diabetes) people it’s a much bigger concern. During these hard times we should all be considerate of those at risk, and practice good hygiene for the benefit of everyone.
Ambo Ars cares about the health and safety of our clients and our staff and are thus taking every precaution. We’re asking that if you feel any symptoms related to the covid-19 virus, or have travelled recently, you reschedule your appointment until you’ve been given the all clear by a doctor.
Steps we’re taking to ensure health and safety in our salon:
Chairs are sanitised with hospital grade disinfectant before and after each client.
Towels and capes are washed with hot water and disinfecting laundry liquid to kill off any germs.
Doorhandles are regularly sprayed and wiped with disinfectant.
Front desk/table/phones/trolleys/eftpos machine are also reguarly wiped down with disinfectant.
Basins are also regularly disinfected.
All dishes are being soaked in boiling water and washed thoroughly.
All clients will be seated far apart to comply with the 1 1/2 metre rule.
Steps you can take to help stop the spread of COVID19:
Wash/disinfect your hands after entering the salon.
Keep your fluids up- a well lubricated throat is harder for the virus to catch onto, unlike a dry throat.
Avoid touching your face unless your hands are freshly washed.
Covering your mouth/nose when you sneeze, or sneezing/coughing into a tissue and promptly disposing of it.
We’re all in this together and want to keep everyone feeling safe in such a difficult time. While we’re open for the time being we understand that may not be the case in time to come, so when booking, ensure all of your contact details are up-to-date so if the time comes we can contact you if the doors do close & when they re-open!
